You may click here for yesterday's update and for other related posts.
Also, Chris Kulczycki has researched and compiled excerpts and links concerning torture, what it is, why it is perpetrated, techniques used in Iraq, proffered justification for torture, etc. NOTE: Chris's post contains four photographs, all of which are disturbing, but some of which are particularly graphic. Beneath Chris's compilation of information are more than a hundred comments in response to his post and others' comments.
The following table indicates the resulting number of hits, by date, of a Google search performed on "Tony Lagouranis":
1 DEC: 694
2 DEC: 756
3 DEC: 938
4 DEC: 10,700
5 DEC: 12,400
6 DEC: 12,600
7 DEC: 12,900
This is a 2.4-percent increase in the number of hits since yesterday, or a 1,759-percent increase since December 1.
An update on iNoodle-originating Tony Lagouranis story posts follows:
* Two posts on UK Indymedia, but which originated as iNoodle.com posts, are presently ranked #4 and #5 of the resulting 12,900 Google hits.
* Two iNoodle.com posts are presently ranked #8 and #9.
The story-breaking PBS FRONTLINE and Democracy Now! interviews continue to be ranked #1 and #2, respectively.
The hits and rankings are relevant only as incidental indicators that we're helping this story to make its way into the public realm. Let's continue to do so. That these four webpages are ranked #4, #5, #8 and #9 by Google indicates their relative importance in this effort.

i am amazed at how this issue has been both ignored and relativised.
It is not a 'left vs right' issue (some Tory MPs have been outspoken in opposing torture). It is a straightforward 'good vs evil' issue.
Thanks for your post, TC.
The cruelest irony, however, is that the rightwingers are perpetually down leftwingers' throats for being relativists, and not buying into the idea of an objective good versus evil; yet, the neocons in power within the Bush administration and their supporters make no bones about creating their own reality, simply by stating it over and over again, refusing, ever, to admit a mistake.
Their Thrasymachean (cf., Plato's Republic) "justice is simply the advantage of the stronger" is the ultimate relativist position.
In terms of US foreign policy, what's right, or just, is simply that which is in the interest of the US. This is the unstated philosophical position behind the neocon agenda which is focused -- as per the Project for the New American Century's "Rebuilding America's Defenses" strategy document (Sep, 2000) -- on global domination, not democracy.
Thus, while the US rebukes (some) other nations for, say, human rights violations, they and their allies (e.g., Saudi Arabia, Israel) are free to trample upon such rights.
The neocons are the ultimate relativists all the while decrying relativism in their speeches and writings.
But, as you say, this is not simply a right versus left issue. When it comes to US (or UK) foreign policy issues, there is overwhelming bipartisan support for global domination. But, then again, the Democratic (and the Labour) party is on the right as well. Much of the tomfoolery in US (UK) politics is enabled by the public's falling for the right-left, conservative-liberal divide which exists, by and large, in name only, not substance.
