Entering the (Blogosphere) Fray

Well, this is something I have long wanted to do, to progress from what has to-date been a relatively static website (iNoodle.com) to a, dare I say, dynamic blog for purposes of publishing my writings of various sorts. Primarily, as may be noted in the iNoodle blog subtitle, above, I intend herein to include political, literary and philosophical thoughts, and perhaps the occasional rant! Can one possibly write about twenty-first-century politics, particularly of the American and British sort, without ranting? Perhaps some, but certainly not I.

Nor is this my aim. The myth of objective, unbiased journalism is falsely lulling individuals—and, thus, the societies which they compose—into a passive state of news consumption whereby the need to think critically, for oneself, seems an extraneous activity. So, I will make no pretense of cool-headed objectivity; nor, philosophically speaking do I think it possible to escape the subjective realm. But, I will do my best in spite of my great anger stemming from US and UK corrupt, and corrupting, goings-on at home and abroad to offset my oft-gut-wrenching angst with constructive ideas, thoughts and analysis with the ultimate aim of helping in some small way to better the human condition, our shared world or environment, and its myriad miraculous beings, both sentient and non-sentient, if the latter, indeed, exist. I know of no better way to pursue this end than to begin to open our hearts and minds through the sharing of dialogue, respect and compassion.

For any and all who shall share any part of this journey with me, I thank you and look forward to a cross-exchange of thoughts, ideas, imaginings and what-not. I welcome your comments, either posted to the blog or sent via email (sean@inoodle.com). I also thank you for bearing with me while I, in turn, find my blogging bearings during the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

With kind regards,

Sean M. Madden
